Utah children who were abducted by doomsday mom, abandoned at Croatian orphanage return home with dad

The four young siblings who were allegedly kidnapped to Europe by their doomsday mother and dumped in a Croatian orphanage have returned home to Utah with their dad after a two-month manhunt.

Kendall Seymour shared the exciting news Sunday that he picked up his three children and their half-brother after police arrested his ex-wife, Elleshia Anne Seymour.

“WE ARE TAKING THE KIDS HOME!” the elated father wrote in an update on GoFundMe Sunday. “After so much work from SO many people, the Social Services employees informed us that the police had finished their investigation, returned the children’s passports, and gave us the go ahead to pick up the kids from the children’s group home in the morning! We are all excited to get back to (mostly) normal life.”

Seymour’s 35-year-old ex-wife was convinced the world was ending and hustled her four children – Landon Hal Seymour, 11, Levi Parker Seymour, 8, Hazel Rae Seymour, 7, and Jacob Kurt Brady, 3, – onto a Croatia-bound Delta Airlines flight out of Salt Lake City International Airport on Nov. 30.

Seymour, who shares the three eldest kids with his ex-wife, first sounded the alarm on the missing family after they were reported missing on Dec. 2.

He claimed the mother of four forged passport documents for the youngsters and left two ominous notes at home, including a “delusional message from God promising her she would be in Italy by Christmas,” and a to-do list.

The children were found “trapped in Croatia in a state-run orphanage” before Elleshia Seymour was arrested in the country.

Seymour celebrated the victory on GoFundMe, sharing photos of himself beaming with his children as they ate on the streets of Croatia before flying back home.

One of the pictures captured Seymour in a tight embrace with his oldest child.

Another photo showed little Jacob, whom Elleshia Seymour shares with another man, eating a hamburger.

“Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has helped us locate and fight for these kids. In no way, shape, or form could we have done this without all of you and our amazing network of family and friends. We don’t even know where we would be (or where the kids would be) without you all,” he wrote.

A fifth American child who traveled with his mother, Elleshia Seymour and the four kids was found at the orphanage. It was not clear the relationship she had with the unidentified minor, but was said to have traveled with the children and “his mother.”

Kendall Seymour revealed the fifth child was not handed over to him, but he set up a new phone for the kid and gave out important contact info.

“We unfortunately don’t have an official update on the fifth child, but we are reserving funds for any legal help he needs to get himself into a good situation, wherever he considers home to be.”

Seymour said the minor was worried about his family and friends thinking “they probably think I’m dead.”

“We’ve purchased him a decent phone with a plan. Luckily, he was able to log back into his old apps and reconnect with the friends he hasn’t spoken to in a few weeks. We put our contacts in his phone so that he can reach out to us for help at any time,” he added.

Seymour and his family said he made donations to the orphanage after children living there complained about certain things the facility was missing.

“We hope to be able to find other ways to give back, not only because they served our kids with love and care, but also to try to improve the lives of those children left behind,” he wrote.
