Malik Tillman appears set to return to the Bundesliga, with the United States international reportedly on the verge of a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
Tillman, who turned 23-years old this spring, is coming off a sensational campaign for PSV. The attacking midfielder was among the Eredivisie's best attacking with 12 goals and two assists across 26 matches and 1,919 minutes played.
He joins a Leverkusen side that finished second this past season in the German top-flite.
His move sees a return to the Bundesliga, where Tillman first came through the Bayern Munich academy.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal between Bayer and PSV is for between €35-40m ($41-47m). The international transfer reporter says that a "Verbal agreement in place between all parties involved."
Will Tillman be a good signing for Leverkusen?
Deployed both on the wing as well as centrally, Tillman is confident on the ball and able to play between the lines. He can cover from box-to-box defensively as well.

He is at his best when on the left side where he can go one-on-one and cut in. He has good pace and is a solid finisher for both club and country.
Currently, Tillman is with the United States national team where he has been among the best players in the Gold Cup. In a physical game on Sunday (June 29) night, Tillman started and went the distance as the United States won on penalty kicks over Costa Rica to advance to the tournament's semifinals.
Tillman was a target in the match against Costa Rica, constantly being fouled and drawing a lot of attention from the CONCACAF side.
For Leverkusen, the addition of Tillman is expected to offset the loss this summer of Florian Wirtz, who contributed 21 goals and 24 assists over the past two seasons. The German international made a move to English Premier League champions Liverpool this offseason.
