The Miami-South Florida game was halted due to a lightning delay in the second quarter on Saturday.
Both teams entered the highly-anticipated matchup with a point to prove. The Hurricanes jumped out to a 14-0 lead to start the game. Carson Beck to Josh Moore worked twice before USF cut the deficit to 14-3 with a 45-yard field goal by Nico Gramatica.
The lightning delay began with 13:45 left in the second quarter (5:20 p.m. ET ). There is no restart time set by ACC officials as of now.
Fans were asked to seek shelter on the concourse level or could exit the stadium. They'll be able to re-enter Hard Rock Stadium.
