The Winter Olympics have some of the most intense events in sports. A fan favorite event, likely due to a popular movie, is bobsledding.
Competitors will sprint down an ice runway, pushing a medal sled that they eventually jump into and race down a track to try and set the fastest times.
While the event itself takes a lot of skill and strategy, the speeds they reach and the slopes they climb add in more danger and make it one of the more exciting events of the entire Olympics. This year, the United States is sending 14 bobsledders to compete.
