Fantasy football managers with any record should get an early start on lining up their adds from the waiver wire.
Bye weeks start to carve into star players' availability in Week 5, so getting ahead of the flow for bench help and streamer fill-ins should start in Week 4, if you haven't already started lining up replacements.
In the meantime, don't ignore helpful names to find on your fantasy player lists.

Best fantasy waiver wire pickups for Week 4
Bryce Young, QB, Carolina Panthers (19%)
Bryce Young did not have a good fantasy performance in Week 3, but to be fair, he did not need to. The Panthers' defense suffocated Michael Penix and the Falcons' offense.
However, this is the perfect time to grab Young off the waiver wire. It will cost you close to nothing because of this dud fantasy showing.
Young's schedule is as follows: NE, MIA, DAL, NYJ, BUF, GB, NO
Young plays arguably one of the toughest defenses in the Green Bay Packers, and every other team is a favorable to great matchup. This is a great candidate if you are dealing with injuries at QB, but also to help with any upcoming bye weeks.
Bryce Young FAAB: 15%
Tre Tucker, WR, Las Vegas Raiders (3%)
Is Tre Tucker completely touchdown dependent? Yes. However, the Raiders are not very good at football and will need his big plays frequently.
Tucker was spectacular in Week 3; he caught 8 passes for 145 yards and 3 touchdowns. There is little doubt he'll be the WR1 after this nuclear performance.
In the previous two games, Tucker has seen 8 or more targets, so even though his productive weeks will come when he scores, the volume is there for something more.
On top of this, the Raiders have an immaculate schedule upcoming that should provide more of these boom plays from Tucker.
Tre Tucker FAAB: 10%
Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots (60%)
A player who is rostered in more than half of leagues usually does not qualify for a waiver wire suggestion, but if Hunter Hemry is on your waivers, he is a must-grab.
Henry was targeted 11 times in Week 3 against the Steelers. It's clear Maye trusts his TE and loves to go to him. Henry has quietly been targeted 22 times to start the season. This is more than Brock Bowers and Tyler Warren.
The TE position has been plagued by injuries to start the season, and Henry offers great production.
Hunter Henry FAAB: 10%
Malik Washington, WR, Miami Dolphins (2%)
This is not a flashy pick; however, Malik Washington is slowly carving himself a role in this Miami Dolphins offense.
In Week 3 of TNF, Washington was targeted 5 times for 3 catches that went for 12 yards. Again, nothing insane, but he's continuing to create opportunities.
Then you get to the potential drastic changes that may strike the Dolphins soon. Head coach Mike McDaniel may be fired soon, and Tyreek Hill has been in several trade rumors.
If Hill gets moved, Washingtons' role immediately elevates and he becomes interesting. At the least, he's a guy to stash that offers immense value.
Malik Washington FAAB: 5%

Week 4 waiver wire streamers
Fantasy players should only spend a few dollars, maximum, on each of these temporary starters.
QB Fantasy Streaming Pickups
Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders (28%)
Don't be quick to dismiss the fantasy value of Geno Smith because of the slow start. Matchups should rule your decision-making more than anything. Smith takes on the Chicago Bears in Week 4, a defense that has been torn up to start 2025.
TE Fantasy Streaming Pickups
Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns (47%)
It's quite surprising that Harold Fannin Jr. is only rostered at 47%. He's been targeted 14 times through just two weeks of the season. In Week 4, he'll take on the Detroit Lions, who have given up 16 fantasy points per game to the TE position.
Team Defense Fantasy Streaming Pickups
New England Patriots (14%)
The Patriots have offered a safe and consistent D/ST fantasy performance in Weeks 1 and 2. Despite giving up 27 points to Miami, they were able to get 5 sacks and an interception. In Week 4, New England faces a struggling Carolina Panthers offense.
Kicker Fantasy Streaming Pickups
Brandon McManus, Green Bay Packers (14%)
The Packers' offense has been cooking to start the season. As a result, Brandon McManus gets plenty of fantasy output. In Week 4, the Packers face the Dallas Cowboys, who are allergic to low-scoring games.
Week 4 Fantasy Waiver Wire stashes and watch list
Quarterback waiver pickups to stash
- Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders (6%)
- Kirk Cousins, Atlanta Falcons (1%)
- Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets (1%)
All 3 of these QBs are the backups. Taylor and Mariota both started in Week 3 due to injuries, and if they start Week 4, they'll be interesting starts. Michael Penix looked awful in Week 3. Cousins might be a name to monitor going forward if that sort of play continues from Penix.
Running Back waiver pickups to stash
- Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers (10%)
- Najee Harris, Los Angeles Chargers (37%)
- Jeremy McNichols, Washington Commanders (3%)
Gainwell has continued to carve out a role for himself in the Steelers' offense. With Hampton struggling, Harris is a must-add if he becomes the RB1 for the Chargers. McNichols had a big TD and looked explosive in Week 3; he could be the RB2 for Washington.
Wide Receiver waiver pickups to stash
- Jalen Nailor, Minnesota Vikings (2%)
- Sterling Shepard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0%)
- Darnell Mooney, Atlanta Falcons (45%)
If Wentz stays as the starter, Nailor becomes much more startable as a flex option. Mike Evans went down, and Godwin is not for sure back in Week 4; Shepard may be the WR2 in Week 4 for the Bucs. Mooney was targeted 11 times, but Penix's play was not good. Mooney is a grab-and-stash until the QB play improves.
Tight End waiver pickups to stash
- Chig Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans (31%)
- Mason Taylor, New York Jets (6%)
- Tommy Tremble, Carolina Panthers (0%)
Taylor is a guy who is not startable now, but you can see the potential for growth as the season goes on. Okonkwo is becoming more of a trusted target for Cam Ward. Sanders went down for Carolina, and Tremble could find himself as the TE1 in Carolina.
