Uniform matchup in USA-Slovakia Olympic semifinal is very confusing for everyone's eyes

Well, the colors are certainly patriotic for a game featuring Team USA.

The problem is that it's not just the United States wearing them in Friday's Olympic men's hockey semifinal. Slovakia is rocking red, white and blue, too.

You can see it in the picture at the top of the article -- these are the three same color tones for both teams.

On some level, it can be hard to avoid. The U.S. and Slovakia have the same colors in their flags.

But watching the game, it sure seems like someone should've come up with something different. This is a bit tough to watch.

A certain NFL legend, J.J. Watt, concurs:

This uniform matchup in the USA vs. Slovakia game is less than ideal.

There was plenty more complaining about these uniforms, too.

These teams are wearing the same jerseys. We might see 25 pizza’s in this game. 🇺🇸🇸🇰

These uniforms are annoyingly similar, right? It’s not just me?

How did nobody say, 'You know, maybe the United States and Slovakia shouldn't wear the exact same jerseys?'

Apparently, the Olympics need some kind of third-jersey/alternate setup. Then the U.S. could bring a bald eagle design to wear in a matchup like this.

That's not how it works, though, and so everyone has to just focus extra hard to see who is who.

It's probably a bit easier on the ice, but it can't be perfect, either. If you like the colors red, white and blue, though, this is the game for you.
