Embattled Hollywood exec Casey Wasserman hosted his annual NBA All-Star reception on Thursday night for 300 VIPs, Page Six Hollywood has learned, including the heads of ESPN and NBCUniversal, plus execs for 25 top NBA teams, we hear.

Sources say that among the 300 guests at the event were NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, LA Clippers owner Steve Ballmer, ESPN chairman James Pitaro and CEO of Comcast Brian Roberts.

Others at the bash thrown at Gagosian in Beverly Hills, we’re told, included podcaster Bill Simmons, Hawks owner Tony Ressler, NBCUniversal Television & Streaming exec Jennifer Storms, Fanatics mogul Michael Rubin, Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria, former NBA star Jalen Rose, Executive Director of the National Basketball Players Association Andre Iguodala, Chairman of the Oklahoma City Thunder Clay Bennett, NBA senior vice president of digital media Melissa Brenner, NBA President of New Business Ventures Amy Brooks and more.

We hear that swag at the event included custom Madhappy shirts with art by Lauren Halsey.

The turnout seemingly shows major support in the sports world for Wasserman after a string of artists including Chappell Roan left his eponymous talent agency.

Other music clients to either leave the agency or make statements distancing themselves from the superagent include John Summit, Orville Peck, Weyes Blood, Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino and the indie group Wednesday.

The Wasserman Group still reps powerhouse clients like Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Kacey Musgraves, Lorde and Pharrell, and Wasserman also owns Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

The LA28 Executive Committee announced Wednesday that Wasserman will remain as chairman of the LA28 Organizing Committee for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On the sports side, only soccer star Abby Wambach has left the agency.

Wasserman’s NBA All-Star party has traditionally been a fixture of NBA All-Star weekend as the biggest event for VIPs, and Wasserman has hosted it for 15 years. He’d also recently co-hosted an annual Super Bowl luncheon with Rubin.

It was revealed as part of the recent Department of Justice’s Epstein Files data dump that Wasserman. — the grandson of Hollywood legend Lew Wasserman — exchanged flirtatious emails in 2003 with Epstein’s now-incarcerated right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell.

In the exchanges, Wasserman told Maxwell (years before she was accused of any illegal activity), “I think of you all the time. So, what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?” Another email showed Maxwell asking Wasserman whether it would be foggy enough during an upcoming visit “so that you can float naked down the beach and no one can see you unless they are close up?”

Wasserman has not been accused of any wrongdoing, and previously said in a statement: “I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.”

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game takes place on Sunday, Feb. 15, at LA’s Intuit Dome, home of the Clippers.
