In the 2024-25 season, Tyler Herro proved that he could be an All-Star for the Miami Heat. He cemented himself as one of the best players in the Eastern Conference, earning his first All-Star Game appearance.
This season, Herro has been struggling with all kinds of injuries. He has not played as consistently as he would like, which has led other players to stand out, like first-time All-Star Norman Powell.
Herro's recent standout performance shows how he can lead the Heat
Herro was superb against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. He had 33 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. It was his best performance of the 2025-26 season as Herro proved he can continue leading the Heat to victory.
This made the Heat show their potential to become one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. As long as they remain healthy, they can have a strong dynamic across the roster filled with talented players.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra loved what he saw from Herro. In 37 minutes, Herro showed that he is the Heat's most explosive player with his efficiency, including 8-for-10 from beyond the arc.
"He was sensational tonight. Having a place where he can create something for us offensively, but also on the other side, it would have been great to see him have a triple-double, because he had that kind of impact," Spoelstra said about Herro's standout night.
Moving forward, Herro will continue to look for his shots. He wants to keep fighting for his role as the Heat's star, and he will want to keep this going alongside superb performances from his teammates like Powell and Bam Adebayo.
