Two Patriots coaches hired for new positions by AFC North team

Last week, the New England Patriots officially hired Mike Vrabel to be the 16th head coach in their franchise's history, just a week after firing Jerod Mayo.

With that change, Vrabel will have the ability to hire his own coaches to work under him, and while there have already been some members of New England's 2024 staff who have been told they aren't returning, two more accepted new jobs with a new team.

On Monday, the Cincinnati Bengals announced that they hired Patriots offensive line coach Scott Peters and offensive assistant Mike McCarthy to be their offensive line coach and assistant offensive line coach, respectively.

Both Peters and McCarthy joined New England last offseason and lasted just one year. The team's offensive line was one of their biggest problems in 2024, and they'll have to find new coaches to serve in those roles.
