Twin brothers in Texas were arrested after they allegedly killed two men in November, including one who robbed them at gunpoint and forced them to strip nude in 2021.
Devan Randles, 19, and Isaiah Gonzales, 20, were murdered in separate shootings in the Fort Worth area on Nov. 15 and Nov. 30, respectively.
The twins arrested for their murders, Samuel and Solomon Gbadebo, both 20, were named as the prime suspects by a mystery tipster, according to a search warrant affidavit obtained by Fox 4.
The tipster told Fort Worth police that Gonzales held the twins at gunpoint and forced them to strip naked during a robbery in 2021. The informant said that Samuel and Solomon allegedly killed Gonzales in what has since been speculated to be a revenge killing for the ignominious hold-up.
Samuel Gbadebo, 20, allegedly shot and killed a man who previously robbed him and his brother at gunpoint in 2021.Gonzales was fatally shot in the parking lot of Flips Patio Grill, where he worked. He was seen on surveillance video leaving the restaurant and getting into a car with his girlfriend around 2 a.m. on Nov. 30, according to the documents.
The footage captured two other men, who were lingering near the edge of the parking lot, ambushing Gonzales and shooting at him through the windshield. Gonzales was critically wounded and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
While investigating the killings, investigators found a video in Gonzales’ possession that showed two young black men being held at gunpoint while in the nude.
Authorities said that they used facial recognition technology to confirm that the victims in the video were the Gbadebo twins, the affidavit said.
It’s unclear if Gonzales was ever arrested or charged for the alleged robbery.
Randles was shot and killed in a parking lot at an apartment complex in Fort Worth in the early hours on Nov. 15. He and three other men were allegedly seen busting into parked cars, though authorities never specified what happened leading up to the shooting, according to the warrant.
Solomon Gbadebo, 20, and his brother were both charged with murder.Authorities identified a white Nissan Altima seen fleeing the scene on security footage moments after gunfire rang out off-camera.
The Nissan Altima was traced back to the Gbadebos’ mother, police said.
The twins’ apartment was raided on Dec. 12, but no items were seized and police hadn’t connected enough evidence to link them to the shootings — until the tipster stepped in.
The Gbadebos’ exact connection to Randles, if any, is unclear.
The brothers were both charged with murder. They were booked in the Tarrant County Jail on Jan. 15. Their respective bonds are unclear.
