Tucker Kraft injury update: Latest news on Packers tight end's status for Week 3

When it was revealed that Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft suffered a knee injury in practice on Thursday, everyone feared the worst.

However, it was quickly discovered that Kraft did not have a serious injury and, in fact, it was just a tweak, which led to a huge sigh of relief for the Packers, their fans, and fantasy football owners.

That said, the expectation was that Kraft would likely sit out in Week 3, if for no other reason than the Packers erring on the side of caution with one of their most important offensive players.

The Friday injury report dropped and while Kraft didn't practice, he was listed as questionable, keeping hope alive that he would suit up on Sunday.

Now, it looks like he's going to play.

Tucker Kraft injury update

According to NFL Network, Kraft is expected to suit up in Week 3.

"The Green Bay Packers tight end is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns after suffering a knee injury in practice earlier this week, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported," the outlet wrote.

Kraft officially put himself on the map as one of the best tight ends in the NFL in the Week 2 win over the Washington Commanders.

On a national stage, Kraft finished the contest with six catches for 124 yards and one touchdown in the 27-18 win.

"Hopefully I can keep stacking games like that," he said. "But it's the first time I've ever gotten over 100 yards, including in college. So I'm feeling it now, you just get tackled that many more times. I mean, yeah, I'm excited, but it's over."

Kraft will look to build on his Week 2 showing in a Week 3 matchup against the Cleveland Browns at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday afternoon.
