President Donald Trump is expected to attend a meeting at the White House next Wednesday that will gather together high-level executives from crypto companies and prediction-market venues, according to a person familiar with the event.

Michael Selig, chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, is also planning to be there, the person said. Paul Atkins, the chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission, will be at the White House as well, a spokesperson for the agency said.

The event will kick off discussions ahead of the first meeting of the CFTC’s new Innovation Advisory Committee the next day, the person said. The committee includes the top executives from Coinbase, Robinhood, Kalshi and Polymarket, among others. Regulation of digital assets and prediction markets will be discussed, according to the committee meeting agenda.
