Triple H may have subtly spoiled the result of CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker on WWE RAW

WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has been involved in a long-term rivalry with The Vision. Since Punk's arch-rival, Seth Rollins, has been written off TV due to a real-life injury, he has been continuing the storyline with Bron Breakker.

The Stamford-based promotion has now booked a match for 2026's first Monday Night RAW, where The Best in the World will defend his World Heavyweight Title against Bron Breakker.

Fans and pundits are actively predicting the outcome of the high-stakes championship contest. Meanwhile, Triple H has seemingly hinted at how the bout might end.

In the main event of RAW, the masked man who attacked Rey Mysterio revealed his identity. It turned out to be former United States Champion and Money in the Bank winner Austin Theory.

Many had expected the assailant to help Breakker win the title on the first RAW of 2026 and then reveal his identity. However, since the mystery has already been solved, it could be a hint that The Dog of WWE will not dethrone Punk.

Theory's inclusion may create issues within the faction

It seems that The Oracle Paul Heyman and the Brons were unaware of the fact that Austin was behind the mask. However, Logan Paul might have had an idea of the assailant's identity. This might create issues within the heel group.

Amid rising tensions due to Theory's inclusion, Breakker might not be able to focus on his title showdown against Punk. The second-generation wrestler might lose to The Best in the World on January 6, following the events of this week's RAW.

Punk needs to remain WWE World champion

The Stamford-based promotion needs to keep the gold around The Second City Saint's waist at least until WrestleMania 42. Triple H and Co. need strong champions to create hype around The Showcase of the Immortals.

Punk possesses the ability to deliver a box-office bout against anyone. Roman Reigns might be the ideal opponent for him at WrestleMania 42. Hence, Triple H might not book Breakker to dethrone The Best in the World on RAW. That said, this is mere speculation based on observation and recent developments.
