The latest episode of WWE Monday Night RAW was a great show, featuring several big matches and segments. Despite an emotional night in Washington, D.C., due to John Cena's retirement, the company was able to put on a compelling and exciting program to reignite fans' interest in the product.

Gunther kicked off the red show with an in-ring promo where he addressed his victory over John Cena in his retirement match at Saturday Night Main Event XLII. The Ring General seems to be riding on red-hot momentum on WWE RAW after managing to make Cena tap out in Washington.

That said, it seems like Triple H now has the perfect setup to bring back a three-time World Heavyweight Champion to the company after this week's show. Chris Jericho is the name in question.

Chris Jericho is the only active wrestler to have tapped out John Cena in the past

Aside from SNME XLII, Cena has tapped out on four other occasions and to three different superstars throughout his iconic career. It appears that Chris Jericho is the only active wrestler to have submitted the GOAT in the past. Hence, Triple H might bring him back to book him in a match against The Ring General.

It will be interesting to note that Chris Jericho was the first person to make John Cena tap out. On the July 18, 2002, episode of SmackDown, The Franchise Player was awarded the victory via disqualification after Jericho hit him with a low blow during the match.

The three-time World Heavyweight Champion didn't stop there, as he continued to lock John Cena in the Walls of Jericho even after the referee called for the bell, forcing The Franchise Player to tap out.

Jericho potentially returning to WWE for his final year could also allow him to revisit his past feuds

Chris Jericho's future with AEW has been up in the air amid rumors that his contract with the company is set to expire at the end of the year. This has led fans to speculate that the 55-year-old veteran will soon make his return to WWE.

Moreover, recent reports have suggested that Triple H could offer Jericho a retirement tour. If this is confirmed, it would allow the three-time World Heavyweight Champion to revisit his past feuds, similar to John Cena's Farewell Tour.

Gunther is taking out all the legends in their final year and could also retire Jericho

It looks like Gunther is taking out all the WWE legends in their final year. He retired Goldberg in July of this year and also retired John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. With that in mind, it seems like Chris Jericho might be the next on the list.

If Jericho eventually returns to the Stamford-based promotion for his final run, The Ring General will likely retire him as well.
