Travis Kelce purchases $5.3 million Ohio mansion before Taylor Swift wedding

Travis Kelce bought a lavish lakefront mansion in his home state months before he said "I do" to Taylor Swift.

Kelce, who is from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, purchased a $5.35 million home on March 2 in the Cleveland area, TMZ reports. Although he and Swift were engaged at the time of the Kansas City Chiefs star's purchase, the outlet reports that he is the sole buyer of the property.

The Ohio mansion went through a yearlong renovation where many aspects of the house were restored from its original setting or replaced. Several details like wood carvings, windows, door hardware, and fireplaces were created with Kelce's taste in mind.

There is more than enough room to have guests over with  8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and more than 21,000 square feet of living space, according to TMZ.

Not only is there enough space for a good night's rest or to lounge, but Kelce put personal details to make the house even more fun. Between the lower level and third floor, there is a theater and game room. On the lower level, the games don't stop, as there is also a billiards room and poker area.  For a more chill night, Kelce can enjoy the bar, wine cellar, and tasting room. Lastly, what professional athlete wouldn't build their home without a fitness center and sauna -- Kelce did just that.

For an outside ambiance, the house sits on a lake where he has a stone terrace leading to a bluestone patio and heated pool.

Kelce and Swift got married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in front of 1,000 of their A-list guests.

In 2023, Kelce bought his home in a gated community located in Leawood, Kansas, where he stays during the NFL season. That estate was purchased for a little under $6 million.  Kelce signed a three-year extension with the Chiefs back in March and will have his first game to kick off his 14th season in the league on Sept. 14 against the Denver Broncos.
