Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Hunter reminded the NFL why he was considered one of the most talented prospects in recent memory, delivering an impressive two-way performance Sunday against the Houston Texans.

Although Jacksonville suffered a heartbreaking 34-31 loss at Wembley Stadium in London, Hunter provided several memorable moments on both sides of the football.

The former Heisman Trophy winner showcased his versatility, making significant contributions as a wide receiver and cornerback while helping Jacksonville erase a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit.

Hunter scored his first receiving touchdown of the 2026 season when quarterback Trevor Lawrence connected with him on a seven-yard pass in the fourth quarter, cutting Houston's lead to 31-28 following the extra point.

The touchdown highlighted Hunter's ability to contribute offensively despite spending much of the season concentrating on his defensive responsibilities.

However, his biggest moment came on defense.

With Houston threatening to extend its lead late in the fourth quarter, Hunter intercepted Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud in the end zone with 3:53 remaining.

The interception prevented Houston from potentially putting the game out of reach and gave Jacksonville another opportunity to complete its comeback.

The Jaguars capitalized when kicker Cam Little connected on a 60-yard field goal to tie the game at 31 with 1:55 remaining.

Unfortunately for Jacksonville, Houston responded with a game-winning drive, capped by Ka'imi Fairbairn's 49-yard field goal as time expired.

Travis Hunter Proves He Can Impact Both Sides of the Football

Hunter's performance wasn't flawless, particularly in coverage against Houston's talented receiving corps. However, his ability to deliver a touchdown reception and a critical interception demonstrated why Jacksonville remains committed to developing him as a two-way player.

For a player facing questions about whether he can consistently handle responsibilities on offense and defense, Sunday's performance offered encouraging evidence.

The Jaguars dropped to 4-2, but Hunter's growing confidence could become a major factor as Jacksonville continues pursuing an AFC South championship.

Despite the disappointing outcome, Hunter gave Jacksonville plenty of reasons for optimism moving forward.
