Luke Manley, who played the character Dion Galanis in “Marty Supreme,” emerged as an unlikely fan favorite in an otherwise stacked cast of actors and actresses. It was his first professional acting gig.

If it weren’t for his Knicks fandom — one shared with the film’s director, Josh Safdie — he never would have gotten the chance, and Dion might have been played very differently.

Manley, who goes by Fatrick Ewing on X, went viral during the 2021 playoffs with a bizarre diss of Young in a fan reaction video by “Sidetalk NYC,” whose postgame videos outside Madison Square Garden hold their own place in Knicks lore.
