Ross Chastain was seen enjoying his NASCAR offseason inside an NFL stadium on Sunday. The Trackhouse Racing driver attended the Houston Texans’ home game against the Arizona Cardinals, with cameras quickly spotting the No. 1 Chevrolet driver in the stands.

Chastain has long followed the NFL and often attends games during off weeks and the offseason. With NASCAR quiet for the winter, the Florida native joined fans at NRG Stadium supporting Houston, as it continued its late-season playoff push.

The Texans' official X account acknowledged Chastain’s presence with a short video clip on X:

“NASCAR Driver @RossChastain in the house 🤘”

Trackhouse Racing reposted the clip and added a lighthearted reply:

“Can you put him in for one play, please @HoustonTexans”

The Texans delivered a strong performance on the night. Quarterback C.J. Stroud passed for 260 yards and three touchdowns as Houston cruised to a 40-20 win over Arizona. The victory pushed the Texans to 9-5, placing them seventh in the AFC standings with three regular-season games remaining.

In September, Ross Chastain attended the Buffalo Bills’ game against the Miami Dolphins just days before racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. That night, Josh Allen threw his 200th career touchdown pass. Chastain later explained his connection to Allen and their shared agricultural backgrounds. After that game, Chastain even posted a clip, tossing a watermelon from a stadium balcony.

Chastain enters the 2026 Cup Series as Trackhouse Racing’s most experienced driver. Shane van Gisbergen returns full-time after a successful rookie year, while Connor Zilisch is set for his Cup debut in the No. 88. That shift places Chastain firmly in the senior role within the organization.

Ross Chastain closed the 2025 Cup Series season ranked 10th in the standings under crew chief Phil Surgen. Though he could not make it to the playoffs, he won the Coca-Cola 600, his lone victory of the year. The No. 1 Chevy advanced to the Round of 12 before getting eliminated on the final corner at Charlotte Roval.

Even then, Chastain finished as Trackhouse Racing’s top driver in points, ahead of both teammates. That led Trackhouse to announce Brandon McSwain as Chastain’s new crew chief, with Surgen moving into another role within the organization.

McSwain arrives from Hendrick Motorsports, where he worked as a race engineer on William Byron’s No. 24 team. The pairing reunites two Florida natives who crossed paths early in Chastain’s career.

“I’m thrilled to have Brandon McSwain as my crew chief next year,” Chastain said in a press release. “I worked with Brandon very early in my career and he has a lot of talent and experience as a race engineer. He’s someone I’ve kept my eye on for a while in case the chance to work together ever came to fruition and I’m looking forward to getting started.”

On the sponsorship side, things look stable for Ross Chastain. Moose Fraternity has extended its partnership through 2027. Busch Light is expected to remain the primary sponsor, though final confirmation has not been announced. Trackhouse’s other Cup entries are set to carry Red Bull branding for much of the 2026 season.
