Tottenham Hotspur join race with Juventus to sign PSG outcast

Tottenham Hotspur are entering a new era under manager Thomas Frank, who has been handed the duty of steadying the ship for the Lilywhites after they endured an underwhelming Premier League campaign.

The North London outfit have good some great business with the signings of Kevin Danso, Mathys Tel, Mohammed Kudus, Kota Takai and Luka Vuskovic.

These signings will improve their roster as they will need depth and quality to compete in the Premier League and Champions League next season.

After wrapping up some deals, Spurs have shown some intent in securing a prolific striker this summer as Frank wants someone who can support Dominic Solanke upfront.

They have been linked with several strikers including Brentford's Yoane Wissa and now as per Foot Mercato's Santi Aouna, Tottenham have entered the race to sign PSG's Randal Kolo Muani.

The Parisians are open to selling the France international, who spent his last season on loan at Juventus and as per reports, Juventus are also interested in the 26-year-old, but they haven't reached an agreement over the transfer fees with PSG.

Kolo Muani moved to Juventus in January 2025 on loan and he instantly delivered with goals as he settled quickly into Igor Tudor's system.

The Frenchman netted 10 goals in 22 matches for Juventus, eight of his goals came in 16 Serie A matches last season.

Why are Tottenham Hotspur pushing to sign Randal Kolo Muani?

After watching his performers in Italy, Tottenham and Frank also believe that they can provide Kolo Muani with a similar level of comfort which would help him replicate his numbers from last season.

Interestingly, Spurs have been in the market for Kolo Muani last year even more Frank's appointment, so they feel that the Frenchman would be a good fit in North London.

As per reports, PSG want €50m ($57m) for the 26-year-old but Juventus are only willing to offer in between €40-45m ($45-51m).

While PSG and Juventus continue their lengthy negotiations for Kolo Muani, Manchester United and Newcastle United are the other two Premier League teams monitoring the situation apart from Spurs.

The 26-year-old is known for physical stature, ball-striking abilities, progressive carries and therefore Spurs are pushing for him as they don't have a forward of a similar mold.

According to FBref, he averaged 1.56 progressive carries, 1.51 successful take-ons, 6.39 touches in the opposition's penalty area and received 7.89 progressive passes per 90 minutes last season.

Until now, Juventus are confident of securing their man and if Spurs or any of the other teams intend to hijack the deal they need to move swiftly whilst fulfilling PSG's demands.
