“Top Chef” winner Kelsey Clark was arrested after allegedly plowing into a mailbox while driving drunk in an Alabama neighborhood with her two kids in the car, according to reports.
The 35-year-old cooking star, who won the Bravo reality competition show in 2019, was booked Wednesday night in her hometown of Dothan after authorities said she reeked of booze and struggled to complete basic field sobriety tests, according to the Dothan Police Department, TMZ reported.
Police said Clark couldn’t walk in a straight line or stand on one foot.
“We received a call regarding a vehicle striking the mailbox in the 1300 block of Selkirk Drive,” a spokesperson for the department told WBRC.
“Our officers who responded to the scene determined Ms. Clark was under the influence.”
Clark, who has authored three cookbooks and owns a restaurant in downtown Dothan, was charged with driving under the influencer and reportedly spent the night at Dothan City Jail.
In her mugshot, the blonde-haired celebrity chef was wearing a black shirt, appearing puffy-faced as she stared blankly into the camera.
Neither Clark nor her children — an 8-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter — were injured in the crash, according to WBRC.
Clark rose to fame when she was crowned the victor of Season 16 of “Top Chef.”
She penned cookbooks “Southern Grit,” “Southern Get-Togethers” and “The Flavor of Fire,” and now serves as a judge on Netflix’s “Next Gen Chef.”
Clark owns a southern-style eatery called KBC.
