Tom Hanks loses his mind after Francisco Lindor homers for Mets at star-studded Citi Field

There might be no crying in baseball, but that doesn’t mean you can’t show emotion.

Because Tom Hanks was sure amazed by the Mets’ offense on Tuesday night.

As Francisco Lindor capped off a four-run rally against the Diamondbacks in the second inning with a two-run homer, the Oscar-winning actor stood up in near-disbelief, clearly mouthing “wow” as the ball barely cleared the wall — which was upheld upon official umpire review.

The 68-year-old Hanks, donning a blue Mets cap, then put his hand on his head before waving his hand in the form of a home run signal as if he were a base umpire.

The “A League of Their Own” actor is well-known for his baseball fandom, as he’s had a presence at a few ballparks in just the past few years.

During the COVID-shortened 2020 season, the A’s had a cutout for Hanks, who was formerly a vendor at Oakland Coliseum.

Hanks, two years later, threw out a first pitch with a Wilson volleyball at a Guardians game in a nod to the movie “Cast Away.”

And, earlier this year, Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani’s power wowed both Hanks and Rob Lowe in Los Angeles.

And Hanks wasn’t the only celebrity to watch the team with MLB’s best record (20-9) on Tuesday.

Singer-songwriter John Mayer threw out a first pitch before the proceedings, while “Walking Dead” actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan each had their own tosses as well.

Morgan and Mark Vientos also posed for pictures before the game with a barbed wire baseball bat.

Director Judd Apatow — a noted celebrity Mets fan — was also taking in the opening game of the series.
