Since retiring from the NFL, Tom Brady has ventured into different avenues of financial investments. One of those investments is a franchise of card shops called "CardVault" that he owns. On Friday news broke that the New York City location was robbed in October.
The theft occurred on October 20, 2025, when a man attempted to pay for Pokemon and baseball cards totaling nearly $10,000. The payment the suspect used was declined but he was able to bypass the declined transaction and leave with the $9,700 in cards. The NYPD is currently looking for the unidentified man whom has been spotted in the shop's security footage.
"At time in place of occurrence, unknown defendant utilized a tap to pay account and then manipulated the point of sale system in order to obtain property without the permission and authority to do so, resulting in the loss of 9,710 U.S. currency in merchandise. It's being investigated by the Financial Crimes Task Force of the NYPD," the NYPD said in a statement regarding the case.•
