Tom Brady's involvement in Raiders draft decision revealed

The Las Vegas Raiders have been entrenched in plenty of rumors leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft. Could they grab Shedeur Sanders? Will they select Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty? Or will they go in another direction and address the trenches?

Only time will tell what the Raiders decide to do. As it turns out, minority owner Tom Brady is apparently involved in the decision, as Todd McShay wrote in his latest mock draft.

"Many rate Armand Membou higher, but Raiders general manager John Spytek and part-owner Tom Brady, who is very much involved in this decision, are big on culture, and Banks is one of the highest-character players in the draft. He would immediately compete for the starting job at right tackle or guard. Left tackle Kolton Miller is entering the final year of his contract, so this pick would represent a short-term upgrade with long-term flexibility built in."

McShay had the Raiders selecting Texas OT Kelvin Banks Jr. at No. 6 overall, which would be a strong addition for recently acquired QB Geno Smith.

And, as McShay wrote, Brady is "very much involved" in the choice, which isn't a surprise given his Hall of Fame resume. Plus, the old-school approach is back in Las Vegas with Pete Carroll on as the head coach, so Banks makes a lot of sense for the Raiders.

As time goes on, Brady's influence and involvement around the organization should only grow, and this is the first draft with the former Patriots and Buccaneers QB having input.
