WWE legend John Cena is nearing in-ring retirement. The 48-year-old's final opponent will be decided by the ongoing 16-man tournament, called the Last Time Is Now Tournament. Its participants include stars such as Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura, among others.
The Cenation Leader has feuded with numerous names throughout his career, like CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, The Rock, and more. However, his rivalry with Adam Copeland (fka Edge) is legendary. Fans wanted the AEW star, who is on a hiatus, to be Cena's final opponent. However, that is impossible because World Wrestling Entertainment and All Elite Wrestling are competitors, and Tony Khan wouldn't allow The Rated R Superstar to wrestle Cena.
Fans were still hopeful for a miracle, but their dreams were recently shattered. According to PWInsider Elite's Mike Johnson, the former Edge was spotted in London to film his role for The Beekeeper 2. He will reportedly be working on the film throughout this month.
