Today on Sky Sports Racing: French stars clash in Prix Corrida

1 hour ago 3

There is top-class action in France this Sunday, alongside two domestic jumps fixtures from Uttoxeter and Fontwell, all live on Sky Sports Racing.

2.50 ParisLongchamp - Classy fillies Aventure and Sunly lock horns

It looks a fascinating edition of the feature Group Two Prix Corrida as Aventure and Sunly do battle in Paris.

Aventure secured this prize last season before going on to lift the Group One Prix Vermeille later in the campaign. She made a satisfactory return in the Prix Ganay behind superstar Daryz and will appreciate the switch to racing against her own sex.

Francis-Henri Graffard saddles Sunly, who looked a top-class filly in the making last season, winning her first three starts impressively. After suffering a shock defeat to Qilin Queen in July, she was not seen again until scoring on her reappearance at Saint-Cloud earlier this month. That was a taking effort and she warrants respect as she steps up in grade.

Elsewhere on the card, Amy Murphy's impressive-looking Jabracadabra features in the Group Three Prix Hocquart (1.33), while Seagulls Eleven - owned by a number of Brighton players - takes on the Prix de Montretout (3.25).

4.03 Uttoxeter - American Mike and Riskintheground clash in feature

One of the early features of the summer jumps campaign, the Clarke Chase at Uttoxeter looks a typically open contest, where American Mike tops a field of seven.

Olly Murphy's charge got back to winning ways with a dead-heat success at Perth last month and he remains capable of better having only had the four runs for this trainer.

Riskintheground landed back-to-back renewals of the Silver Trophy at Haydock 39 days ago and a similar effort would put this course and distance winner in the mix despite a 4lb rise in the weights.

Faye Bramley's Glengouly has dropped back to the same winning mark as when taking the December Gold Cup at Cheltenham and must be feared if able to bounce back under Ben Jones.

3.45 Fontwell - Recent winner Miss Goldfire faces Shutfrontdoor

Miss Goldfire faces Shutfrontdoor in a tight-looking Sky Sports Racing Virgin 512 mares' Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell.

Harry Fry's seven-year-old Miss Goldfire had been a little disappointing of late until getting back on track over this course and distance and, with confidence restored, she could go close under Ciaran O'Shea.

Shutfrontdoor, a bumper winner here, is yet to win in four hurdles outings but has placed on three occasions. She steps up in distance on this handicap debut and that combination could bring further improvement.
