The Tennessee Titans are in an interesting position entering the 2026 season.
The team has had an awful few seasons, but there's some real optimism around the team again after an eventful offseason. Robert Saleh was brought in to be the head coach, while weapons like Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson were added to the offense.
There's also reason to believe Cam Ward can take a step forward in 2026, which could be the biggest factor. However, the biggest remaining need for the team could be on defense. Luckily, there's a perfect free agent who could interest the team.
Titans could sign Kenny Moore II before Week 1
The Titans made some big improvements in the secondary already this offseason. Alontae Taylor and Cor'Dale Flott were brough in to be the new starters on the outside, but not much competition was added at the nickel spot.
Currently, the Titans have Marcus Harris penciled in to start there, but there's not much depth behind him. As a result, it would make some sense to bring in veteran nickel Kenny Moore II.
Dharya Sharma of Titans OnSI recently identified Moore as a logical target for the Titans. Regarding that fit, Sharma offered the following:
Signing Moore to a cheap contract would give the Titans a veteran corner with a ton of starting experience who has played his entire career in the AFC South. Moore could serve as the starting nickel on Robert Saleh and Gus Bradley's defense, but Marcus Harris is also a strong candidate for that spot and is loved by the coaching staff.
Nevertheless, even if Moore isn't a starter for Tennessee, he would be a key depth piece and valuable mentor to Harris.
As Sharma mentioned, Moore would give the Titans' secondary some much-needed depth and veteran experience. Plus, Moore has spent his entire career in the AFC South so far, so there's plenty of familiarity there.
In 2025, Moore played in 14 games and collected 55 tackles, six pass breakups and one interception. Moore has had at least one interception in every season except one, and he has 21 total for his career. Moore's best year came in 2021 when he earned his first-and-only Pro Bowl bid after coming down with four interceptions and 13 pass breakups.
Moore may not be quite the elite talent he once was, but he's still a quality player. Like Sharma noted, even if Moore didn't start for the Titans, his presence alone would be worth bringing in.
