The Tennessee Titans are set long-term at quarterback with Cam Ward.
But NFL teams are always looking for QB depth, and the Titans are bringing aboard Kaidon Salter to see what he's made of.
According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Salter's deal with the Titans is an invite to rookie minicamp. He'll have to prove himself there to stick around for more of the offseason ahead.
Salter concluded his college career at Colorado for Deion Sanders in 2025. He completed 62.3% of his passes for 1,414 yards and 10 touchdowns while also rushing 103 times for 356 yards and five more scores.

His best college season came at Liberty in 2023. That year, he threw for 2,876 yards (61.0%) with 32 touchdowns compared to just six interceptions. He also ran 163 times for 1,089 yards (6.7 YPC) and 12 touchdowns.
Salter regressed a bit in 2024 with the Flames, throwing 15 touchdowns and running for seven more.
He's listed at 6-foot-1 and is clearly a high-level athlete, but it's not clear whether his passing talent is good enough to stick around the NFL.
That's what Salter will have to show in minicamp, that he can make the throws presented to him. No one is questioning what he can do with his legs.
It'll be tough for Salter to break through into the Titans' QB depth chart, which has Ward followed by Mitchell Trubisky and Will Levis.
Levis might be a trade candidate, but even if that happens, the Titans also have Hendon Hooker.
Salter's long uphill climb toward the NFL has begun, and it's up to him to keep his journey alive as long as possible.
