There's no way to deny it. Shedeur Sanders is box office.
Whether it's being one of the most dominant defenders in the sport or his own eccentric personality, Shedeur's brand has helped make the Cleveland Browns quarterback battle one of the most fascinating stories in sports.
Shedeur is currently QB4 in Berea, but with training camp around the corner and a seemingly wide-open competition, the rookie signal-caller has a chance to rapidly ascend the depth chart.
This ongoing storyline has one prominent national analyst making a bold proclamation ahead of the 23-year-old's first season.
While on ESPN's morning show "Get Up," host Mike Greenberg made the case for why Shedeur is the most fascinating rookie quarterback.
"Cam Ward is going to be the starter in Tennessee, and he was going to be regardless," Greenberg said. "The most intriguing rookie quarterback to me is definitely Shedeur Sanders. I am interested to see whether he's the player that someone like Mel Kiper thought he would be or the guy who fell to the fifth round. I don't know if we'll know that in this training camp, but we'll start to get the answer."
As Greenberg alluded to, Shedeur is so captivating at this point because of the unknown. At this point, anything from making his debut this season to being on the roster bubble is on the table.
His driving infractions surely didn't help his case, and it will be paramount over the next few weeks that Shedeur performs at a high level on and off the field.
If he manages to take meaningful snaps in a regular-season game, it will generate headlines for weeks.
