Kylie Jenner Supports Timothée Chalamet in NYC Hours After Attending Paris Fashion Week
Timothée Chalamet's new hairstyle—or lack thereof—is no longer a complete unknown.
Indeed, the 29-year-old traded in his luscious brown curls for a buzzcut over the summer and is now ready for the big reveal: He debuted his shaved head in a Marty Supreme Instagram video Oct. 7.
Timothée also gave fans a glimpse IRL, as he was seen with the new look while spending the day in New York City, wearing a navy half-zip sweatshirt, loose jeans, brown boots and a denim baseball hat that provided only a peek at his transformation. The Dune actor also kept his bald head concealed with a different black baseball hat while posing for photos at the New York Film Festival Oct. 6.
He's gotten creative with his headgear while keeping his new 'do under wraps for months, first covering his head with a green bandana in July while vacationing with girlfriend Kylie Jenner in Saint-Tropez. The next month, he sported a camo cap with his black sweatshirt hood pulled over the top while attending a Premier League game in London.
Considering that Dune: Part Three was set to begin filming in July, per Variety, it's possible that the Oscar nominee shaved his head for the role, as Timothée is no stranger to adapting his look for his for leading characters.
“I did all the work, like you just described, physicality, behavior-wise," he told NPR’s All Things Considered in January of his transformation to play Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. "I also put on 20 pounds because, believe it or not, I was thinner than the guy.”

But getting to that point wasn't easy, as earlier in his career, he was passed over rather than being given the chance for roles due to his leaner frame.
"I would always get the same feedback,” he told Rolling Stone in 2024, citing The Maze Runner and Divergent as films for which he didn't make the cut. “‘Oh, you don’t have the right body.’"
However, the rejection opened up a new path for him that led his career to skyrocket: indie movies.
"I went to what I thought was a more humble door," he explained, "but actually ended up being explosive for me.”
