Former World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior-middleweight champion Tim Tszyu posted an emotional message following the mass shooting at Bondi Beach that left 16 dead and dozens injured.
The attack occurred during a Hanukkah celebration in the area. Authorities identified the shooters as a father and son duo, with one still in custody. Investigators revealed that six firearms were registered to the father, and a nearby vehicle contained an improvised explosive device.
The attack is being treated as an act of terrorism. Four children were among those hospitalized, and two police officers were also injured. Tszyu reacted to the tragic incident via Instagram story, writing:
"My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families following the heartbreaking tragedy in Bondi. Holding the community close in my heart during this incredibly painful time."Get the latest updates on One Championship Rankings at Sportskeeda and more

Tim Tszyu warned to focus ahead of career-defining fight
Tim Tszyu faces the biggest test of his career when he takes on unbeaten star Anthony Velazquez in Sydney on Wednesday night. After three heavy defeats in his last four fights, Tszyu must deliver a dominant performance to stay relevant in the division.
Legendary trainer Johnny Lewis, who guided Tszyu’s father Kostya to world titles, cautions the Sydney fighter that he might need to consider retirement if he loses the fight. Speaking in an interview with Fox Sports Australia, Lewis said:
“A loss of any description would be disastrous for Tim. If he doesn’t win, he will have to find something to do in life. I never thought Tim would be in this position, I thought he would still be unbeaten and be up there with Jai Opetaia as our best pound-for-pound fighters."He added:
“But this is now the most important fight he has ever had. He is not fighting for a world title, he is fighting for his career. Tim just needs a win, but it has to be a dominant win. If he doesn’t put on a really good performance, he will have to consider retiring.”Why did you not like this content?
