The Detroit Tigers had a rough end to their playoff run when they lost to the Mariners in five games in the ALDS. They had no run support, which tells them their top priority this offseason is finding some.

Fansided’s Christopher Kline believes the Tigers can find that offensive upgrade in a player they failed to get last year: Alex Bregman.

This past season, Bregman finished slashing .273/.360/.462/.821 with 28 doubles, 18 home runs, and 62 RBI over 114 games played. If he has a fully healthy season, he could be the offensive player Detroit needs, and also provides some top-tier defense at the hot corner.
Currently, the Tigers have Zach McKinstry at third, who is an All-Star and Silver Slugger. However, he's no Bregman, and if Detroit's smart, they'll find another place to put him.

Combining Bregman with Tarik Skubal for his potential final season with the Tigers is the best way the Tigers can make one final run to the World Series. Hopefully, they get to pursuing him; otherwise, the incumbent Boston Red Sox will stop at nothing to keep their superstar.
