Tigers head football coach Brian Kelly's $10 million contract under severe scrutiny amidst LSU's lackluster season

1 hour ago 1

FOX Sports Radio's Aaron Torres underlined that Brian Kelly's third season as the Tigers' head football coach is as bad as it can get and doesn't hold up to the bills LSU is paying him.

"This is what $10 million a year gets?" the College Football analyst questioned forthwith, torching Kelly further with a question that worsened his position on the hot seat and quickly following it up with a series of humiliating losses.

"LSU in Year 3 under Brian Kelly," Torres wrote in his tweet, citing every let-down loss the Tigers had to go through this season.

  • Lost to a bad USC team
  • Destroyed by Alabama
  • Destroyed by A&M
  • Losy to Florida
  • Never led Ole Miss until the final play of the game
  • Would've lost to South Carolina if LaNorris Sellers didn't get hurt

However, LSU will consider Kelly's massive buyout, $60.8 million in 2024, and $51.7 million in 2025, if they consider firing the Tigers head coach. Kelly's current 10-year contract runs through 2031, guaranteeing him $95 million over the next 10 years.

Tigers head football coach Brian Kelly has in-fighting with LSU while losing

The fans were already unhappy with LSU losing their 3rd consecutive game when they lost against Florida with a dismal 27-16, dropping their records to 6-4.

Fans were already bubbling with rage when storming social media with posts to fire Kelly when a clip of him yelling at a player mid-game started making rounds.

The clip, in which Kelly is reportedly using profane language with an LSU player, and another clip where an LSU player, Kyren Lacy, was yelling at Kelly on the sidelines and making it a visibly frustrating game for everyone on the team.

The sideline chaos is an early sign for Kelly to pull his team back together while there's still time.
