The 127th meeting between the Army Black Knights and Navy Midshipmen will be held at MetLife Stadium for only the second time in rivalry history (2021) when it kicks off December 12.
The matchup will also be part of commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11, adding extra significance to the rivalry's return to the New York-New Jersey area.
In last year’s matchup at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, the Midshipmen edged the Black Knights, 17-16. Army took control early and carried a 16-7 advantage into halftime, but Navy’s defense responded with a dominant second half, holding the Black Knights to just 27 yards after the break.
The victory secured the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy for Navy for the second straight year and marked the program’s first consecutive wins over Army since the 2014 and 2015 meetings.
