Three fans caused a brief delay in the Yankees-Mariners game Wednesday, sprinting into right field before getting tackled to the ground by security in the fifth inning.
The spectators hopped over the wall and attempted to sprint toward center field, interrupting the Yankees’ game against the Mariners for around three minutes.
One fan, who required multiple security officials to stay on the ground, ended up shirtless.
Another ended up near the warning track.
A third was quickly escorted off as the other two remained pinned on the field.
It created a bizarre scene in The Bronx, with the Yankees trailing 5-1 when the incident happened.
Will Warren struggled and had allowed three Mariners — Randy Arozarena, Dominic Canzone and Julio Rodríguez — to homer before exiting earlier in the frame.
Fernando Cruz allowed two of his three batters to reach base, including an RBI single from Josh Naylor, before the fans escaped onto the field.
But after the delay, Tim Hill entered and induced an inning-ending double play.
Trent Grisham homered in the bottom of the frame. Ben Rice and Spencer Jones added consecutive doubles.
And in a matter of batters, the Yankees had tied it.
