The world of Minecraft offers a beautiful landscape with different biomes, trees, structures, and even animals. To add a dash of colors, the game also has different types of flowers.
However, some players might agree that the flora of the blocky world could use some rework. While flowers are not too useful in terms of gameplay, they can certainly enhance the immersion by making things more scenic.
A Minecraft player, u/MushirMickeyJoe, posted some images on the game’s subreddit showing a texture pack they made to improve the look of all the flowers in the blocky world.
The approach of redesigning these items was quite interesting as the developer chose to balance the flat and blocky design of the game but with a little 3D twist to make them look a little more realistic.
The pictures showed how much the look of the flowers improved with the new texture pack and instead of appearing as some colored specks with the default textures, it made them more noticeable which mattered a lot. The original poster added a link to the texture pack on Modrinth for others to download.
u/nopeplz_just_no said that they loved how the peonies have a more pronounced shape to make them look more realistic. u/Benjamin_6848 pointed out how the texture pack made the pitcher plant look like an actual one instead of an unfinished prototype in the vanilla texture pack. The pitcher plant can be seen in the sixth picture of the post.
Redditors react to the flowers texture pack (Image via Reddit)u/SpecialistOverall848 found the flowers beautiful and added that they had been looking for something like this. u/Fleetframe pointed out that the look of the chorus fruit is their favorite out of the bunch.
u/Ambitious-Company-56 said that they wished this texture pack was available on the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft. u/veissss replied that they can find similar ones if they look for 3D texture packs for Bedrock Edition as they came across four such packs.
Mods and texture packs make Minecraft better
The Copper Age update has improved the game a lot (Image via Mojang Studios)Vanilla Minecraft is fun but despite many updates such as The Copper Age or Chase the Skies, there are still many quality of life features that are missing in the game. Thankfully, there are mods for both Java and Bedrock Edition that can add new features to make things more convenient and fun.
Players can not only add new items, blocks, etc., but also change the look of the game using texture packs. There are shaders such as BSL Shaders that completely transform how light interacts with the game world to make things look gorgeous. However, players will need powerful devices to run many mods and shaders.
