This Giants offensive line is primed to be a strength the team has long lacked

After 15 years of striking out time and again in the far-and-wide search for five playable offensive linemen, the Giants suddenly are acting wealthy and shedding spare parts.

The subtext to the recent trades of backup guards Daniel Faalele and Joshua Ezeudu for extra draft picks is that the Giants have justifiable preseason confidence in their five starters to be one of the strengths of the team for the first time since the 2011 team won Super Bowl 46 (as well as confidence in their remaining backups to hold down the fort in case of an injury).

“I’m not shy about it: I think we should aim to be the best offensive line in the NFL,” right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor told The Post. “On the offensive line, a lot of it is the talent you have, but a lot is the chemistry you have with the brothers next to you and being able to trust what they’re going to do in certain situations. This is probably the most stable the offensive line has been in a long time and that’s a blessing, especially for Jaxson Dart. We like to mess around with each other like a big family.”

It’s been an unusually quiet summer up front without a position battle, an injury or pointed questions about recent failures. Two years after bottoming out by allowing a franchise record 85 sacks in 2023, the Giants ranked as the NFL’s No. 9 offensive line by Pro Football Focus last season.
