This three-bedroom Upper West Side home may be historic — but by no means is it old fashioned.
The colorful home of mosaic artist Allison Eden — the “Lady Gaga of the tile world,” whose work ranges from holiday window displays for Bloomingdale’s to commissions for Elton John and Kris Kardashian — is back on the market, this time for $3.84 million. The non-traditional home resides in the old school Astor Court co-op.
“I know it’s a little wild, but I didn’t alter anything, I only painted it,” Eden told The Post. “So if you look beyond my orange and yellow paint — which I think is fabulous and new owners should keep it — but if you painted it white, the bones are still there.”
The property’s listing images show a home bursting with bold color, original artwork and intricate mosaics. Even the living room’s trimmed tray ceiling is painted in vivid orange.
Compass broker Brian K. Lewis advertised the home with listing photos that show off the rooms in their full glam glory, as well as edited versions with white blank walls for the more Restoration Hardware-inclined buyers.
The home’s classical details — plaster moldings, hardwood floors, 10-foot ceilings and a woodburning fireplace — are stylishly complemented by Eden’s vivid walls and technicolor mantles.
“She’s a true artist, but when you take away that one layer of paint, what you’re left with is an amazing classic eight in one of the most iconic buildings on the Upper West Side,” Lewis told The Post.
Lewis called the unit “one of the biggies,” of Astor Court, with a style that evokes the Upper West Side’s artistic roots.
Astor Court was built by American architect Charles A. Platt for Vincent Astor in 1916 and bears the traditional markings of a pre-war construction — tall ceilings and thick walls.
Listing photos show a bright yellow central gallery covered in art, with a living room on one side and a dining room on the other. The dining room accommodates 14 guests, according to the listing, and includes a golden tiled, woodburning fireplace.
The home’s built-in art, the tiled archways and mantles are included in the sale.
Eden runs Allison Eden Studios alongside her husband, Gary Goldenstein. The pair bought their home in more than 20 years ago from Nancy Marchand, who famously played Livia Soprano in “The Sopranos.”
Eden and Goldenstein initially put their Astor Court unit on sale in 2020 with a different brokerage for $4.2 million.
Eden said that parting with the home where she raised her family makes it “a totally emotional sale.” She recalled calling down to her two children playing in Astor Court’s large garden and throwing nightclub-like parties within the home’s thick walls.
Residents at Astor Court enjoy an impressive English garden at its center, a landscaped roof terrace, a children’s playroom and a garage.
