Life is good for the New York Yankees.
Life is very not good for the New York Mets.
There are a ton of stats that could sum that up, but one shared by MLB.com's Mark Feinsand on Thursday does it as well as any:
"Crazy stat that pretty much sums up New York baseball to this point: Aaron Judge leads the Majors with 15 home runs. Bo Bichette leads the Mets with 16 RBI."
The point isn't that Judge has more homers than Bichette. That's expected.
But the best RBI hitters always end up with more in that category than home runs -- a 100-RBI season is the milestone level there, while 40 or 50 HRs is a big year in that.
So yeah, Judge having one fewer home run than Bichette has total RBI is pretty dramatic.
Judge has 28 RBI, for those wondering.

It's just a small dichotomy of the entire season for these teams from the Big Apple.
The Yankees are 26-12 after a win on Thursday, alone in first place in the AL East.
The Mets are 14-22, alone in last place in the NL East.
It's not what the Mets would've wanted, of course. They've shelled out the big bucks. They signed Juan Soto away from the Yankees last year, then did the same with Devin Williams and Luke Weaver this year.
Somehow, the expenditures haven't led to wins for the Mets.
Meanwhile, the fellas in pinstripes are flying high, led by their all-time great slugger, Judge.
Life is definitely better in one baseball borough than the other at the moment.
