Not sure what to get a foodie for Christmas? Take a stab at this present.
Forget the gift card or the limited edition “Boorito” costume — one person has revealed the one thing from Chipotle that has been hailed as the “gift that keeps giving.”
Katherine Marie proudly boasted her Christmas present of 1,500 plastic forks from the chain restaurant on TikTok, as her loved ones laughed in disbelief in the background of the clip.
“When you get 1,500 Chipotle forks for Christmas,” the creator wrote on the video, which scored over 521,000 views.
While it might seem odd, Chipotle fanatics swear by the black plastic utensils, which numerous creators have claimed makes burrito bowls from the fast-casual eatery taste better.
Online, viewers excitedly commented that they “need” the same box of forks for themselves, saying they were “jealous” of Katherine Marie and that the forks were “the gift that keeps giving.”
“I can relate!!!!!” exclaimed one viewer. “Getting the forks at Chipotle is the highlight of my visit! They are perfection in the world of plastic cutlery.”
“No seriously they’re the best forks,” agreed another. “I need the link. Like. NEED.”
“They are the best part of Chipotle!!!” cheered someone else.
“No, this is a gift,” applauded one user. “Chipotle forks are literally the best thing ever.”
“Friends and family, TAKE NOTES,” another person wrote.
“These are the gifts I love. How creative!” championed someone else.
For the inquiring minds asking where to buy the forks in bulk, Katherine Marie told them to “just go to Chipotle and ask to buy a box of forks.”
Chipotle recently faced backlash from fans after announcing a price hike to their menus, which has prompted once-devout diners to stop frequenting the eatery.
The approximately 2% price increase was met with online vitriol from people who claim it is no longer “worth it” to dine at the chain, calling it “wasteful” to eat there. Some users on Reddit said they’ve been priced out by the increased costs, and others vowed to spend money at competitors’ restaurants instead.
The criticism comes after customer outcry about the reportedly small portion sizes served up at Chipotle.
