Meghan Markle’s Birdies just might fly off the shelves.
During a family trip to Disneyland this week, the Duchess of Sussex reached for one of her longtime footwear favorites: the Birdie Starling Slippers.
The chic flats feature several layers of “cloud-like” cushioning — and given the theme park’s not exactly short on mileage, it’s safe to says she took advantage of the extra support.

The velvet flats have been among Markle’s style staples since her “Suits” days, when she wore them for everything from grocery shopping to long days spent filming in Toronto.
She kept her love for the label going during her time as a royal, wearing the black velvet slip-ons for appearances everywhere from Morocco to the Redwood National Park.
“She chooses to wear us in such amazing moments in time,” brand co-founder Bianca Gates told Town & Country in 2019.
“We really believe that she’s being very thoughtful about when she shows herself wearing Birdies.”

The star’s fondness for Birdies has hardly died out in her Montecito era, as she wore the same shoes in a People magazine spread celebrating her new Netflix cooking show this year.
In addition to her go-to black velvet version, the Starling also comes in multiple shades of leather, plus leopard print.

Markle’s not the only star obsessed with the brand, as we spotted Katie Holmes wearing the brand’s Crane Ballet Flats for an outing in NYC in 2023.
Anne Hathaway, Lily Collins and Brie Larson all own pairs of the brand’s famous flats, too.
