Gunther is on cloud nine after making the biggest accomplishment in his wrestling career, which is retiring WWE legend John Cena. Gunther is more ecstatic about the fact that he broke the 21-year record of Cena, which was making him tap out.

He executed the Sleeper Lock so perfectly that Cena just tapped out and let The Ring General have the win. Although he was booed tremendously by the crowd, the former World Heavyweight Champion remains unapologetic.

On tonight's episode of RAW, Gunther kicked off the show and was brimming with confidence. He gloated that he made Cena tap out like a b*tch. The fans were unhappy with his conduct and that he was speaking ill of a WWE legend, but he was adamant. And not only once, but Gunther repeated it on the mic twice, that he made Cena tap out like a b*itch.

His atrocious conduct also rattled a lot backstage, and while going out, Gunther had a face-off with R-Truth and AJ Styles. RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce, was also not too pleased with his conduct and asked him to leave the building.

Be that as it may, Gunther may have been brash in his conduct, but he is indeed a "Career Killer". He retired WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg in July at SNME, and six months later, he retired John Cena. At the moment, there's only one person who can stop Gunther.

Randy Orton can stop the juggernaut of Gunther in WWE

Only The Viper, Randy Orton, can stop Gunther in WWE. The Apex Predator is not been around for the past few weeks, and he may return to challenge Gunther in a match. Gunther is stealing Randy's 'Legend Killer' gimmick in WWE. The Viper can thus challenge Gunther to a match for doing so.

However, Orton has a poor track record against The Austrian Scion. The two have had two encounters so far, and Gunther has succeeded in winning both matches.

At first, Gunther defeated Randy Orton in the final of the King of the Ring tournament. And then, Gunther, as World Heavyweight Champion, defeated Randy Orton in a singles match once again.

Gunther's next opponent isn't locked, and Randy Orton could be the next challenger

Although Gunther had a face-off with AJ Styles while leaving, he isn't slated to face The Phenomenal anytime soon. Moreover, Styles at the moment is one-half of the current Tag Team Champion, and is expected to mostly compete in tag team matches.

Randy Orton, on the other hand, can be booked against Gunther since The Viper also doesn't have any opponent. He can return next week on WWE RAW and take out Gunther for disrespecting his long-time friend, John Cena.

Cena and Orton have been long-time rivals, but they also have mutual respect. Even though Randy Orton wasn't present in the arena when Cena retired, he later revealed that he had a conversation via text on the morning of Cena's last match. So, he can exact revenge on Gunther for speaking ill of his friend after his retirement.

Randy Orton and Gunther can clash at the Royal Rumble PLE next year

Randy Orton and Gunther can clash next year at the Royal Rumble PLE on January 31, 2026, in Saudi Arabia. There's no PLE event before Rumble, and this would be the first-ever Royal Rumble in the history of WWE to take place outside North America.

Therefore, to make it more special, the company can book a Submission Match between the two, in which the winner has to make his opponent tap out.

It now remains to be seen how the company books Gunther's next bout. Will it be against Randy Orton, or will there be some other opponent for Gunther? We'll find out soon.
