Some relationships are just meant to be, manifested, … or some might even say, Supernatural?
On Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, Meg Donnelly sat down with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to chat about all things Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires. But first, Consuelos noted how Donnelly met her boyfriend and fellow actor Drake Rodger while working.
Donnelly confirmed, “Yes, we met on The Winchesters, which was like a Supernatural prequel.”
The first and only season of The Winchesters premiered on The CW in October 2022, starring Donnelly as a young Mary Campbell (played by Samantha Smith in the flagship series) and Rodger as a young John Winchester (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in the flagship series). The 13-episode-long series is currently streaming on HBO Max.
Consuelos replied, “There’s a lot of connections between Supernatural and romance, yes?”
Donnelly agreed, “There is. Almost everybody I feel like in the Supernatural universe are dating, married, in love. So yeah, that was in the stars, too.”
The actress explained that Supernatural star Jensen Ackles and his wife and One Tree Hill alum Danneel Ackles — who appeared on five episodes of Supernatural, too — were “the ones that set up” Morgan with One Tree Hill star Hilarie Burton Morgan, and that fellow series alums Rob Benedict and Ruth Connell are together, as well.

Not to mention Jared Padalecki, who met his wife Genevieve Padalecki after she joined the cast of the drama in Season 4.
Donnelly teased, “There’s a lot of love connections, so we were doomed from the start.”
