Arsenal are holding talks with representatives of several attacking players as they look to strengthen their wide options ahead of the new season, Sporting News understands.
The Gunners are adopting a flexible transfer strategy similar to the one famously used by Andrea Berta at Atletico Madrid, exploring multiple deals at once to ensure alternatives are ready should negotiations break down.
Berta is aware that deals can collapse at any stage due to agent demands, disagreements over payment structures or late hijacks from rival clubs and it means Arsenal are ultimately in discussions with multiple targets at the same time.
Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, as revealed last week, has a £68m release clause payable in instalments and is viewed internally as a player who can take Arsenal's attack to the next level.
While no formal bid has yet been submitted, conversations with the player's camp have taken place and the 27-year-old would be keen on a move to north London.
However, sources suggest that Arsenal’s priority winger target is Real Madrid’s Rodrygo.

The Brazilian has not featured consistently for Los Blancos at the Club World Cup and is said to be considering a move away from the Bernabeu.
Any move for the 24-year-old would cost in excess of £65million and early signs suggest that the former Santos star would be open on to the Premier League.
Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is another name that has surfaced in discussions, but he is understood to be lower down the shortlist.
Arsenal’s interest in Madueke is dependent on other options; he is only likely to be pursued if deals for Eze or Rodrygo become unattainable.
While Arsenal are not expected to make wholesale changes this summer, adding a high-quality winger remains one of the few key objectives.
They are also in the market for a new striker with Benjamin Sesko the priority target, as Sporting News reported last month.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have completed the signings of Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga, while they are still pursuing a move for Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera.
