“The thought did occur” - Nong-O Hama somehow knew he would be fighting Rodtang one day for the world title

Former longtime ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama of Thailand never imagined he would be fighting fellow Thai icon and global megastar ‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

But now merely days away from their highly anticipated showdown, the Hama Muay Thai representative says deep down inside, he knew they would eventually cross paths.

The two lock horns for the vacant ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, November 16, from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Nong-O Hama talked about his upcoming showdown with ‘The Iron Man.'

The legendary Thai fighter stated:

“When I first joined ONE Championship, I was in bantamweight and he was in flyweight. So we were in a different weight class. I did not think that we would fight one day. But when I went down to flyweight, the thought did occur that one day I would have to fight him.”
