As the Formula 1 world shifts its focus to the glitz and glamour of the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend, it’s not just the cars turning heads in Monte Carlo.
Docked just meters from the famed street circuit, a fleet of jaw-dropping superyachts will once again serve as trackside lounges for the sport’s elite — including several F1 drivers who’ve taken their love of speed and luxury from the paddock to the open sea.
Unleash the Lion
Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing’s dominant force in Formula 1, has racked up four consecutive World Drivers' Championship titles from 2021 to 2024 and claimed 65 Grand Prix victories across his 11-season career.
In 2025, the racing star expanded his collection of high-performance machines beyond the track, becoming the owner of — Unleash the Lion, a sleek 33-meter yacht featuring a foredeck jacuzzi, multiple sunbathing areas, two bars and alfresco dining.
With floor-to-ceiling windows, five staterooms for up to 12 guests, and a 431-square-foot master suite (along with three cabins for a crew of five) it's a blend of luxury and style.
According to motorsport expert Kym Illman, models like this typically start at $12 million — not including custom upgrades — and cost around $1.2 million each year to maintain.
MONZA
Charles Leclerc, who races for Ferrari, finished as the runner-up in the 2022 Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship and over the course of eight seasons, he’s claimed eight Grand Prix victories.
Off the track, Leclerc’s need for speed continues aboard his sleek personal yacht named MONZA, a nod to Italy’s iconic racing circuit.
The $2 million Riva 66’ Ribelle is a 20-meter sport yacht featuring a teak and steel staircase leading to a flybridge outfitted with a stern sundeck. The main deck’s fore and aft spaces offer open-air relaxation, while below deck, three artfully designed cabins, including a master, a VIP, and a twin, showcase a nautical palette of blue and white with accents of lacquered mahogany and polished steel.
Project 714
News that Lawrence Stroll, the executive chairman of Aston Martin and owner of its Formula 1 team, invested in a new superyacht estimated to cost around $200 million has yacht enthusiasts buzzing with anticipation.
Currently known only as Project 714, the 80-meter, five-story vessel remains shrouded in secrecy, but insiders believe it will build upon the legacy of Stroll’s previous yacht, Sophia, which featured everything from a helipad and helicopter hangar to a glass-bottomed swimming pool, beach club, spa, gym, movie theater, and even a wellness center, complete with massage rooms and a snow room.
While it's not ready for delivery yet, if Project 714 follows suit, it promises to be nothing short of spectacular and will likely appear at Monaco's Grand Prix very soon.
