Jason Kelce has stayed busy after calling it a career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The ex-offensive lineman has continued to remain relevant in the sports space by becoming an ESPN analyst and a late-night talk show host, in addition to his New Heights Podcast with Travis Kelce.
While New Heights is alive and well—and ESPN is keeping Kelce in the mix for special projects—the ‘They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce’ show will conclude after just one season. According to Awful Announcing, Kelce decided to cut ties with the program. Per the report, Kelce wants to “explore other opportunities” rather than committing to another run with the show, which aired five total episodes.
The former NFL center has had an incredible rise in the media space over the past couple of years. The run is followed by a highly impressive playing career.
From Cleveland, Ohio, Kelce attended Cincinnati from 2006 to 2010. He declared for the 2011 NFL Draft, and became a sixth-round pick for the Eagles. While Kelce was widely viewed as undersized for the position, he made the team and quickly earned a spot with an important role on the line.
By 2014, Kelce earned his first Pro Bowl nod. Over time, he collected seven Pro Bowl accolades, all the way up until the 2023 season. He was also a six-time First-team All-Pro member, which started in 2017. Kelce was a key member of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl-winning squad. They were the first to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia in team history. He was also a member of the 2023 NFC Championship squad.
After 193 games, Kelce called it a career in March 2024. He retired as a member of the Eagles, the only team he played with in his career.
Although Kelce didn’t follow his career with a position on within the Eagles’ organization, he’s frequently been around the team since he hung up his jersey. The former center will remain busy in the media space moving ahead.
