All 10 episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 4 dropped on Hulu today, and if you already binged them all, you may have some lingering questions. After all, these Mormon wives love a good cliffhanger!
This season, MomTok leader Taylor Frankie Paul is gearing up to join The Bachelorette Season 22, while Whitney Leavitt and Jenn Affleck are taking the stage by storm on Dancing with the Stars. Plus, Layla Taylor is trying to kickstart her modeling career, and Mayci Neeley is releasing her memoir, Told You So. The women are booked and busy, but that doesn’t mean the drama has taken a backseat.
Taylor, for her part, is still struggling in her non-relationship with Dakota Mortensen, the father of her third child. While they are broken up, his empty promises and their occasional one-night stands with each other are still emotionally stringing her along, despite the fact that she’s getting ready to date 30 men on national television. Their toxic (and frowned upon) relationship becomes a big topic of discussion in Episode 10 (the Season 4 finale) when Taylor nearly ditches her responsibilities on The Bachelorette after hooking up with Dakota for what we could only hope is one last time.
But because The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives thrives on cliffhangers, Taylor sleeping with Dakota the night before meeting her potential husband apparently wasn’t dramatic enough. Instead, Dakota drops a bomb, revealing that the content creator could possibly be carrying his child. Keep reading for more on that shocking Season 4 finale…
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 4 Ending Explained: Is Taylor Frankie Paul Pregnant?
While Taylor and Dakota had been broken up for nearly a year before Season 4 started filming, their toxic back-and-forth continued to be a hot topic. Taylor was upset to find out that Dakota had sex with someone when he filmed Vanderpump Villa, and even more livid when she not only learned that he was hooking up with Shinia, a close friend of Miranda Hope’s who had also struck up a friendship with Taylor, but that he had once again gotten with Jenna, the girl he cheated on Taylor with early in their relationship.
But somehow, despite all of the drama, Dakota figured out how to land himself back in Taylor’s bed this season, first on the cast trip to Los Angeles, and again the night before Taylor was supposed to fly out for The Bachelorette. When MomTok showed up to the airport to send their friend off, she was a no-show, claiming when they bombarded her at her house that she was too sick to get on a plane that morning. Taylor did, of course, end up on a later flight, and when she spoke to Dakota on the phone later that day, he asked her to save a rose for him (nooo!). Meanwhile, the rest of the girls spoke to Dakota about the recent events at Jessi Draper’s annual Halloween party, and he shared that Taylor’s period was late. “Is she gonna be a pregnant Bachelorette?!” Jessi exclaimed, wondering if Taylor’s sickness the morning she was supposed to leave and her recent irritability were actually symptoms of pregnancy.
Now, I doubt ABC would’ve been able to move forward with her as the Bachelorette if she were carrying someone else’s child — but there’s also never been a celebrity Bachelorette before, so I suppose there’s a first time for everything? However, I’m pretty sure if Taylor were about four-to-five months pregnant right now, she wouldn’t have been able to compete in the celebrity NBA All-Stars game a couple of weeks ago. Taylor also seemed to shut down the speculation when she told Us Weekly, “Do I look pregnant? Just look at me and make your observation there. That’s all I’ve got to say.”
