Charlize Theron Teases Sweet Mother's Day Plans With Her 2 Daughters
In case you're wondering what your mom wants for Mother's Day, the answer is grandkids.
But if that's not in your life plans at the moment, she'll take a phone call. Maybe a card. Though she'll tell you she doesn't need anything. Really.
Of course, when you're really ballin', you tend not to listen.
"All these years you have never asked me for anything," NFL quarterback Russell Wilson captioned a 2019 Mother's Day Instagram video that captured the moment he presented mom Tammy Wilson with a new house, "only thing you ever wanted is for me to LOVE. Well thanks for loving us the way you do. This ones for you."
The trick play came shortly after the 37-year-old signed a four-year, $140 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks that made him the league's highest-paid player at the time.
But he's not the only star to run that particular route, with Rihanna and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson also snapping up real estate for the MVPs in their life.
Of course, we're not saying you need to spend six figures to treat the mom in your life May 10. But if you got your f--king ass up and worked your way to billionaire status, well, you can take on a few extra expenses.
So, for mom Kris Jenner's 64th birthday in 2019, Kim Kardashian rented out the childhood home she grew up in with siblings Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Rob Kardashian and their late father Robert Kardashian.
"All our memories live here especially with our dad," she explained in her Instagram post. "It's where each Kardashian child was born and made us who we are."
So, she saw to each detail, using their old "ridiculous wallpaper" to craft custom table settings for their meal and renting "every car my parents ever owned," leaving some out front and using the others to transport them over.
"We had lunch at the home as if it hadn’t changed and we cried the entire time," Kim explained. "This was the best day ever."
And yet somehow, she managed to keep up with the standard she set, putting together an equally elaborate gift for Kris' 65th.
As we celebrate the moms in our life, check out that present and all the others that will have you saying, "You're doing amazing, sweetie."

Kim Kardashian
Keeping up with mom Kris Jenner’s preferred labels is no small feat. But safe to say Kim Kardashian did amazing, sweetie, when she curated 65 different designer ‘fits (all tailored to her mother’s specific measurements, of course) to mark her 65th birthday in November 2020. Working with stylist Danielle Levi, she displayed each of the Comme des Garçons, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gucci looks as if it were a Met Gala exhibition.
"I'm speechless. I cannot believe what I am walking into," Kris said in a Keeping Up With the Kardashians confessional. "This is one of the biggest surprises I've ever had in my entire life. It's certainly so generous, so kind, but the time and the energy that Kim took is the most amazing gift I've ever seen in my life. 65 outfits for 65 years! And it's stunning."

Russell Wilson
New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson truly scored when he purchased his mom a house in 2019, shortly after signing a four year, $140 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
Though his mom Tammy Wilson initially thought it was a trick play—as seen in the clip he shared to Instagram—spoiling her was always the game plan for the Virginia native. "Well thanks for loving us the way you do,” the athlete, who married musician Ciara in 2016, wrote on social media. "This one's for you."

Dwayne Johnson
What can he say except you’re welcome? Like Wilson, Dwayne Johnson surprised his mama Ata Johnson with a new home in 2022. "I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, 'After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That's my dream,’” he explained in an Instagram post. "Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy."

Rihanna
There’s a reason Rihanna puts in so much work, work, work, work, work, work. When Monica Braithwaite appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show alongside her daughter in 2012, she thought the Barbados mansion they chose was merely a work venue. But, “I wanted to do this for you for a very long time,” the Fenty Beauty mogul shared. "You have been such an amazing mother, example, soldier and you get to walk with the key to this house."

Now a Baptist pastor, "I respect my mother so much, from the life that she used to live and to see her today in the life that she lives. I'm so proud of her,” the three-time champion told The Associated Press in 2008. "Everybody thinks I'm the miraculous story in the family. I think she is. I think what I've done means I've been very blessed, but she's been more than blessed. She's been anointed."

LeBron James
Four-time NBA champion LeBron James may be considered the GOAT by his fans, but his real-life MVP is mom Gloria James. And so he’s happy to dish out the occasional assist, surprising her with a Mercedes for her 2022 birthday. Naturally his present was a real winner, Gloria gushing on Instagram, “You’re always thinking of and doing things to help make my life easier and make me happy."

Jeff Bezos
Answering the question of what to get someone who truly has access to anything, Jeff Bezos went out of this world to treat mom Jacklyn Bezos. Four years before her 2025 death, Jeff sported a Blue Origin-branded necklace during his 2021 space flight. Once he touched down, he presented his mother with a hug and the token from his space odyssey.
