Taylor Swift has announced a new six-part behind-the-scenes docuseries and a concert film on the Eras Tour, set to premiere on Disney+ on December 12. The record-breaking tour ended last December after 149 shows on six continents.
During her October 13 appearance on Good Morning America, Taylor Swift announced two new ventures. The first, titled The End of an Era, is a six-part behind-the-scenes docuseries focusing on the "development, impact, and inner-workings" of the historic Eras Tour.
The second, titled The Final Show, is a concert film that marks the introduction of the Tortured Poets Department era during the Eras Tour. Swift released the album in April 2024 and dedicated a new era in her tour to the new album. This part was not included in her original Eras Tour movie.
Fans took to X to react to Taylor Swift's announcement, with many being excited about the two new projects. A short trailer for the docuseries was also dropped via Disney+. One X user wrote:

Taylor Swift releases new promo video for her upcoming Eras Tour docuseries and concert film

On October 13, Taylor Swift released a new promo for her upcoming docuseries, The End of an Era, and the concert film, The Final Show. In the video, she was seen getting decked up for her Speak Now era during the tour. She said:
"People like to talk about phenomenons. Almost as if it were pieces falling into place. As if it just happened. The Eras Tour wasn’t when all the pieces fell into place. This tour was just when every single one of us who had done so much work, pushing inch-by-inch, to where we all clicked together. The only thing left is to close the book."The video also includes scenes of Taylor Swift getting prepared for the tour, including her fiance Travis Kelce's behind-the-scenes moments. Kelce notably made an appearance on stage during Swift's London stop at Wembley Stadium, where he carried her in his arms during the Tortured Poets Department era.
Taylor Swift's docuseries will feature multiple other superstars, including Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Gracie Abrams, all of whom featured once or more times in her Eras Tour. Fans will see exclusive glimpses of their backstage moments in the series. Two episodes of the show will be released each week starting December 12, which is also a day before Swift's birthday.
Speaking during the sneak peek, Swift added:
"I’ll not be able to get to sleep, cuz I can’t, like, come down until I’ve watched tons of TV, I get room service in bed, I sign a box of 2,000 CDs and then I’m tired… and then I do the whole thing again."Meanwhile, the concert film, titled The Final Show, was shot at the final Eras Tour concert at Vancouver, Canada, last December. The film will include new footage from the final show, including more behind-the-scenes clips.
Both the film and the docuseries will be available on Disney+ on December 12.
