The Dallas Cowboys entered Sunday night hoping a players-only meeting and a new defensive voice would help turn the season around. Instead, Green Bay’s defense delivered the most convincing response of the night.
The Packers intercepted Dak Prescott twice and held Dallas to 13 points in a 23-13 victory at Lambeau Field. The Cowboys entered the game averaging 27.6 points per game, but they went into halftime trailing 17-0 and could not make up the difference.
Green Bay improved to 4-2 with its third straight win. Dallas fell to 2-4, and the loss extended a frustrating stretch for a team that had hoped to find a spark after its Week 5 defeat.
Turnovers changed the game
Prescott’s two interceptions halted promising Dallas possessions. Evan Williams picked him off in the second quarter, and rookie Brandon Cisse recorded the first interception of his career later in the half.

— Green Bay Packers (@packers) October 19, 2026Green Bay turned the second takeaway into points. Jordan Love scored on a 1-yard run with 23 seconds remaining before halftime, giving the Packers a 17-0 advantage. The Cowboys had been shut out in the first half for the first time since 2021.
Love finished with 276 passing yards, a touchdown pass and a rushing score. Matthew Golden caught six passes for 104 yards and a touchdown, giving the Packers an early lead they never surrendered.

Dallas showed one sign of progress
The Cowboys’ defense did produce two takeaways of its own, including Dallas’ first interception of the season. The unit also kept the final margin from growing after Green Bay’s early control.
That progress may matter, but it was not enough to overcome the slow start. Dallas was still limited to 13 points, and its offense did not find the end zone until late in the fourth quarter.
The Cowboys have another difficult test coming: a road matchup with Philadelphia on Oct. 26. Green Bay heads to Detroit next Sunday. The Packers leave Week 6 with a strong defensive result, while Dallas has to turn its meeting-room changes into better play on the field.
